Grapevine Vintage Railroad

The Grapevine Vintage Railroad is an excursion and special event railroad located in Grapevine, Texas. It runs from Grapevine’s Main station to the Fort Worth Stockyards. The railroad is located in Historic Downtown Grapevine and offers a unique experience in 1920s-style Victorian coaches. The Grapevine Vintage Railroad features four First Class coaches with Victorian-style seating. These coaches are fully climate-controlled to ensure passenger comfort during any season. Guests can also board a Touring Class coach that offers a floor-to-ceiling view of communities along the way. Economy Class coaches are fully enclosed and heated during colder months.

The Grapevine Vintage Railroad offers a unique experience on the historic Cotton Belt Route. The train departs from downtown Grapevine and stops at the Fort Worth Stockyards. It operates on weekends and on Fridays during the summer. Two vintage steam locomotives serve the railroad, including Puffy, the oldest continuously-operating steam engine in the South. These locomotives pull luxury Victorian coaches restored to their original Victorian beauty.

The railroad also offers themed excursions throughout the year. Throughout the year, the Grapevine Railway Railroad offers a variety of special events for families. A popular Christmas train ride, the North Pole Express, features live music and elves. Guests can also join Thomas train rides and listen to stories. There are also special events such as the Great Train Robberies, where outlaws stop the train and steal it.

Tickets cost $52 per person. Children 12 months and younger ride free. They must be in the arms or lap of a parent or guardian. They cannot be in a stroller or car seat wh/botanical-garden-at-heritage-park/ile the train is in motion. The train departs and returns approximately two hours after you board.
